Yes, that’s right, booking is now open for Repository Fringe 2011 via our EventBrite page!
The event will take place from Wednesday 3rd to Thursday 4th August with a further day or Workshops on Friday 5th and we would ask that you please book for each day you plan to attend as this will greatly help us with organisation and catering. If you sign up for the workshop day we will be in touch when all workshops are confirmed with details of how to book for these individually.
Our venue, familiar to those who attended the 2009 Repository Fringe, is the Informatics Forum in George Square, Edinburgh. The Forum is right in the heart of the city centre and sits moments away from some of the most vibrant Edinburgh Festival Fringe venues.
We recommend booking transport and accommodation as early as possible this year as Edinburgh gets extremely busy in August – it is said that the population of the city doubles during the Festival!
As in previous years our programme is still developing but we will have a broad outline available for you soon (it will appear both here on the blog and on the booking page) so now is a great time to send in your ideas and contributions for this years Repository Fringe.
If you would like to present some work or ideas, see a particular discussion or round table take place, would like to give a Pecha Kucha, etc. then we’d love to hear from you. Email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) or leave a comment below.
Do tell your colleagues, interested repository friends and anyone else you think might enjoy and have interesting contributions to make to this year’s event (the tag/hashtag is #rfringe11).
We think this will be another fantastic RepoFringe and we’d love to see you along!
